DMS Summer Reading
Incoming 6th graders are all reading Restart by Gordon Korman. Read, enjoy and return to school ready to have a discussion with your peers about the topic of standing up for others. You can also choose to read MORE. (If students lost the paper that came with their book, here is the
Restart document). We want kids to keep track of their thoughts while reading. We also suggest creating a plot diagram (but it's just a suggestion!).

Incoming 7th and 8th graders need to pick a book from this list! Students should choose at least one, read it, write a 250 word response, and be prepared to discuss with their peers and a teacher. You can also get them via SORA The questions that were on the bookmark are available on this doc.
High School Summer Reading
High school summer reading lists below. All parents are encouraged to have a conversation with their kids about their summer reading choices. Students need to purchase or borrow the book of their choice themselves.
