Last night we started a conversation about teens and tech use by watching PSAs about social media use made by our students (see them on the red carpet above!). We also watched the documentary Screenagers and had a short discussion about the film. Some questions brought up included: "What is the impact on social development when kids are on devices almost constantly?" "What are the differences between how boys and girls use technology?" "What kinds of contracts or rules should we set in our family and how do we go about enforcing them?" and "How do I get my kids to stop using technology when the timer goes off?"
Let's keep this conversation going!
Come join us!
